Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Dr. Wah Wah Maung received a delegation led by Mr. David William Mclachlan-Karr, Regional Director for Asia and Pacific of the UN Development Coordination Office (UNDCO), this afternoon at Office No. 1 of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.

During the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed about the closer cooperation between UN Country Team and relevant ministries for efficient and effective implementation of UN agencies' work plans, consideration of government’s priorities on earthquake response plans to link with existing work plans and projects of UN agencies, and how to ensure more effective aid.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Union Minister's Office, the Director General of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, senior officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, and Mr. Michael Dunford, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator.
